I had the luck to meet this nice OM last summer while we had a lot of qso's during tropo openings in 6+2m bands between SV8-9H1. He was always waiting for Es opening and he used to be very known among the mediteranean amateurs.

From the fist moment he seemed to be a person of value although my friends complainted that he never sent any qsl cards after the qso.

According to the paper Alan fell off the ladder while trying to fix his antenna.
