    Nice video…has me wondering if my newly delivered chameleon f loop 3.0 would reach down that low in frequency…It sure seems to have a real wide coverage of the spectrum, but isn’t amplified…

    What is NAVTEX and why would I want to listen or read it and what software would I use to decode it.

    518kHz SEATOR, like PACTOR but unacked, fun to DX because it tells you about 600m propagation. The messages are notice to mariners about weather conditions, lighthouses going dark, buoys coming unmoored... Other hazards to marine navigation.

    Fldigi will decode it. There are other programs, such as SeaTTY, they all work about as well.
