Once again Amateur Radio enthusiasts from southern, west, and central Michigan as well from northern Ohio, Indiana and Illinois will converge on Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo Township on Saturday, March 17, 2018 for the 58th Annual Michigan Crossroads Hamfest & Radio Swap. The Crossroads is one of the oldest and largest hamfests in southwest Michigan. Held annually on the third Saturday of March, the Crossroads is regarded by many regional hams as the kickoff of the hamfest season and a harbinger of Spring, which to most hams brings on maintenance and replacement of antenna systems after another Michigan winter.

The 58th Annual Michigan Crossroads Hamfest & Radio Swap is sponsored by the Southern Michigan Amateur Radio Society (SMARS).

Featuring over 160 vendor tables, the Crossroads offers plenty of space for vendors to display their wares and gives amateur radio enthusiasts a wide variety of vendors to shop. It is a tremendous opportunity for vendors and shoppers alike. Also featured at the Crossroads are door prizes and an Amateur Radio Examination session for new hams and hams looking to upgrade their license. Vendors will feature new and used radio equipment, tools, test equipment, computer & electronics, supplies and accessories including custom embroidery of hats and garments.

The Crossroads Hamfest runs from 8:00 AM to Noon. For more information and the hamfest flyer with table reservation form, please go to

Of course, I wish you well, but why do Hamfests always get over at noon?
