Here is the entire ARRL forum from recent Quartzfest where Dick Norton N6AA talks about the current state of Amateur Radio, the League, and future for South West division.
Well the ARRL can’t be all things for everyone, but they are the last line of defense to protecting our ham radio frequency’s, some criticism is warranted towards ARRL, but i am inclined to support them since they are the only ones who go to bat to protect our ham radio hobby. W6FRD.
It was good to have him and other ARRL Representatives there. However it didn't impress us much, and I'm an ARRL life member. N0UO my XYL and I are Just back from Qfest. 73 from, The K0UO " Rhombic Antenna Farm" 2 miles of wire in the Air & On the AIR daily
I was there too. Good that he showed up, but I got the impression from his talk that ARRL is very slow to change with the times. I still appreciate most of what they do.
To many License levels ...To many Band Plans and to may restrictions to bring in New Young Operators ....ARRL is Bureaucracy at its finest !!!
