    WA6ALZ of Sparks Nevada went silent on November 9, 2012. He will be missed by his family and friends. He was my mentor as a boy and got me started in Amateur Radio at the early age of 11. He was a proud WWII war veteran who gave his all for God and country and was awarded 2 Purple Hearts while only doing his job. (According to him)
