Gordon Marshall W6RR was reported as a Silent Key in an article published Thursday Morning in the Los Angeles Times. http://www.latimes.com/local/obituaries/la-me-0604-gordon-marshall-20150603-story.html

Gordon was a Co-Owner of the Foul Weather Bluff Contest Station along with Rush Drake W7RM who made the station famous during the 1970s and 80s. In the late 1990s Rush relocated to the Southern part of Washington just North of Portland Oregon. Rush became a Silent Key in 2005. The Foul Weather Bluff Contest was a beacon winning everything from Single Operator Operator Mode during the ARRL November Sweepstakes with Chip Margelli K7JA at the helm to full blown Multi-Multi Operator entries in the ARRL DX Contest and the CQWW Contest. With a crew of elite operators W7RM won the Phone segment of the 1975 CQWW DX Contest beating East Coast Power Houses W3LPL, W2PV, W3AU, W3WJD, K1OX and W4BVV all of which had dominated Multi-Multi DX Competition for the previous 2 decades. Although the station had been inactive for many years Gordon's passing brings to a close the legacy of what could be considered one of a very few West Coast Super Stations.

Correction : The Foul Weather Bluff Station was not co-owned by W6RR and W7RM. Gordon and Rush owned adjoining properties. Both maintained separate stations. Understanding the Legacy of and the advantages of the QTH is enhanced with the knowledge W7RM's Contest History.
