I am sad to report the passing of Philip Rayner VK1DX (ex-VK1PJ) on 29 January 2024 (age 78). Philip was a very active DXer and contester in the 1990's. He frequently hosted multi operator efforts in the ARRL DX and CQ WW SSB contests. He was the author of an early DOS based logging program called SMARTLOG which was used by many hams.
