It’s a shame they didn’t consult an actual ham before selecting equipment… and setting contact spacing on that straight key, mounted on a box! I don’t think I’ll be watching this one.

 

In his sort of movie they never let facts get the way of a good story.
I recently watched a movie called "Proximity"they had a couple of old christal locked CB's and an osciliscope and other bits of junk all hooked up to a dish and translated Alien voices into english, it looked good if you didn't know what u were actually looking at. These shows should have a Ham or 2 as advisers, especially when using HF via a satellite Dish...............Frequency comes to mind as well as Die Hard with 2m band Taxi radios and other shows with police radios on 2m, and Indipendance day and the use of Baofeng HT's as well; OMG anyway it's just entertainmnt.
Aliens and UAP's are now our Enemy apparently, visited us for who knows how long and did no harm then,but now suddenly they are a threat leading to an increased budgets for the Military.
