The selfless mentors of ham radio

As I composed and posted my bio last night it brought back memories of
earlier, leaner ham radio days.



I learned this hobby largely as a teenager at the elbow of our many hometown hams; my mentors. Most of these selfless pioneers are gone now and it is both difficult and sad to imagine a modern world of ham radio without them.




Consider those who helped us upgrade or get that all important first ticket. Every kid should be a lucky as we were!
