Legendary is a word often associated with the PJ2T contest station in Curacao. This ham radio station, located 12 degrees north of the equator in a "magical" propagation zone, has a rich history of well known operators. The PJ2T story begins with hotelier Chet Brandon PJ2CC who is credited for first noticing the unique HF conditions in Curacao. Chet convinced CW Contest Hall of Famer, John Thompson W1BIH, to build a house at Coral Cliffs. In his first contest from his new home, John’s team took the World #1 spot in the 1967 CWWW CW contest beginning a long tradition of multi-operator wins. The PJ2T story continued in 2001 when another CQ Contest Hall of Famer, Geoff Howard W0CG, took over stewardship of this world renowned station. Geoff not only rebuilt the house and the station but formed a unique consortium of contesters that would be instrumental in keeping the station active and winning contests. In this interview, Geoff W0CG provides an overview of the station history, the Curacao Contest Consortium, and the magic that has led to years of worldwide contesting wins.

My grandpa, W9SN, has this station available as a remote station on one of his website.

    Yes Great Great Video
    Simply Great
What would be great is PJ2T confirming contacts on QRZ
Ofcourse it is Great Great Great to promote your station here on QRZ
But Confirmation is another thing altogether I guess

This from the PJ2T QRZ Page

Quick Directions for Getting QSL Cards: We make tens of thousands of contacts each year, and therefore receive lots of QSL cards. We appreciate your contact and are happy to answer every single one of your cards. But please follow the guidance below.

We are presently transitioning to a new QSL manager. W3HNK has retired. Please check back here and we'll post the new manager as soon as we can recruit one. Please don't send mail direct to Curacao, where the mail delivery is very slow and spotty.

All of our contacts are on Logbook of the World, usually within hours after the end of each contest. We don't confirm on QRZ.com or other electronic QSLing services because this is very time consuming and labor intensive, sorry.

Printing Thousands of QSL Cards and sending them out doesn't take any time apparently but clicking confirm on QRZ is
    extremely timely.

Its ok fortunately PJ2ND thinks otherwise he confirms here on QRZ go Figure.

Promote your station here but use LOTW to confirm WOW

I've got PJ2T confirmed on LoTW. The LoTW confirmations are easy to import to QRZ. So, now I've got PJ2T confirmed on QRZ as well. May I suggest you using the same scheme with LoTW first and QRZ later?

    I understand that fully
You can also post on LOTW, QRZ and EQSL simultaneously with a stroke of one key if you are PJ2T
Does it not seem strange that they promote their station here and not confirm here
    Am I wrong
    REALLY
I honestly feel that Ham's using QRZ should speak up...
this is by far the world's number one Ham Radio Server in every way if it wasn't few would post or confirm here

    As does PJ2MAN

There are lots of DX stations that do not confirm to QRZ for some reason.

If you really want a confirmation on QRZ so much, than just import from LoTW, it's not that hard. If you want, I can show you how to do it step-by-step. It only takes a few minutes to set up.

And I completely disagree with you, without needing a large font to do so.

Let’s all enjoy the hobby how we choose.
