G'day mates, I'm going to head out into the mountains with my buddy Doug VE7DFZ, my dogs, the radio and the 'magic' tarp and truly put it to the test on 10-40 meters. So if you're into POTA and see our spot, come and say g'day. I'm really curious to see just how well this antenna works. Cheers and beers everyone! Simon VA7BIX
Please let us know about the details/specifications of the antenna, its set-up, and how it performed. 73 es ZUT, Chip W9EBE

G'day Chip - thanks for leaving a message mate. To say the antenna performed well is an absolute understatement. A 10x12 makes a perfect full wave loop for 15 meters, and then take off the 'ground' side of the loop and connect a 17ft counterpoise and tuner at the feedpoint, it then rocks all bands from 10-40 meters. The video is above. Please let me know if you would like any other information on this. At the end of the video, there is a link to the build of this antenna in my backyard, which shows how I 'cut' the corners, and the feedpoint etc. Cheers mate - happy building.
Hey David, thanks for watching mate. I'll post a link below of the first video of the actual build. Cheers buddy!
This is what I have, a friend from NSW brought me a case. I still have a couple of cans in the racing fridge.
