Should You Buy an Icom IC-705?

With the Icom IC-705 being a hot topic at the moment I ask the question, should you buy one? Why would you be interested in getting this newest radio from Icom? I'm going to provide you with the reasons why I chose to purchase the IC-705 and whether you should or not.

I’m a card-carrying Elecraft Kool Aid Drinker, but I’d buy a 705 if I had an extra $1400 (or whatever), just to use as a bedside receiver.
