Short ferry ride from Anacortes, blue PNW skies, nice Fall hike, and spending a few hours making amateur radio qso's on Guemes Island, WA SOTA summit W7W/SK-177. Not a bad day! Thank you for the 10 contacts on 2m, 20m and 40m! Was here is May 2019 for hike with the family (and fast SOTA activation), and recommend for smaller island adventure. Orcas Island is probably my favorite island in the San Juans with with a few SOTA summits and POTA parks, but Geumes is fun for lower cost short ferry...and nice views from the summit. 73, James WA7JNJ
