    NV4B writes "The Franklin County Amateur Radio Club of Russellville, Alabama will be holding its first ever Hamfest and Computer Show on Saturday, June 16, 2001. The hamfest will feature Alabama Radio, The Ham Station, Creative Services Software, and some other local vendors.


    The hamfest will take place at the Russellville Community Center. Setup for vendors will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, as well as 7:00-9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16. Doors open to the public at 9 a.m. Admission is only $2 per person, and flea market tables will be $6 each. The talkin will be on the 147.160+ repeater in Russellville.

    North Alabama SKYWARN will hold a forum at the hamfest at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.

    There will be prizes, including a two-meter HT, a selection of ARRL books, software from CSS, and other small prizes.
