He was a friend to all that lived in Latrobe, Pa. I have some additional information posted on my web site about Mr. Rogers in the section "About Latrobe". He was in person, just as he was on TV, caring, honest, friendly, and down to Earth. He will be missed by his friends in Latrobe, and all over the world.

Among we "knuckleheads" I am part of, we would make fun of Mr Rogers very often. He was an easy target really. But I have to admit, I've enjoyed many of his shows with my own kids. (We didn't have a TV when I was young, and by the time we did I wasn't of an age to watch this sort of show.) I can't begin to tell you how many things we never think about (how do they make graham crackers?) appeared fully clear on his show. My kids and I have been enriched by Fred Rogers' existence, and yes, I think it's a sad day today with his passing.

May eternal peace rule the neighbourhood forever more.

    Rest in peace Mr. Rogers.
