The DV4Home v2 is the next generation of the DV4Home v1 launch in fall 2016. It’s presently still in development but I manage to get a unit. For those who never heard about this, it’s an IP transceiver with dual VFO and it support D-Star, DMR, C4FM, NXDN and maybe more. While it acts as a "home" for the DV4mini it can be easily used mobiles or portable as well. It is a standalone unit that does not need a PC to operate. With the DV4Home you can connect directly to IP reflectors where stations and repeaters are connected. That means if you transmit with this unit you will be heard on the repeater network connected to a reflector and this is possible with all the supported modes. Now without any local antenna you can reach distant repeaters and stations around the world with only an internet connection.
