High-Tech Radio DemonstrationsRadio Amateurs will be at Canalfest 2009 in Collins Park/Freedom Park in Scotia August 8-9 from noon-4 to show off some unique capabilities of amateur radio.

They’ll demonstrate distance operations using voice and code, traffic handling and net operations, radios and computers being used together for digital communications, how radios and GPS are combined using APRS, and amateur radio communications via satellite.

Stop by the Schenectady County Emergency Command (C100) van and see what the amateur radio in the twenty-first century can do, high-tech in action!
