Three members of the Southport & District Amateur Radio Club (SADARC) will be setting sail from the Albert Dock, Liverpool, at approximately 0000 on Saturday 31st May, 2003 aboard the Madog.  The intended destination is somewhere off the coat of the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea.

The Madog has been chartered by the Liverpool Diving Club and the SADARC members are tagging along to operate HF and VHF through until approximately 2200 on Sunday, 1st June 2003.

Modes to be used are CW and SSB on HF and phone on VHF (FM).  Some of the HF operations will be QRP.  There is a possibility that packet, APRS and SSTV may also be transmitted on VHF too.

The team consists of Keith Mahood (G0OXV), Mike Davis (G0ROT) and Derek Hughes (M3LFC and G7LFC).  They would like to contact as many stations as possible during the weekend and will be issuing special QSL cards to all stations worked.

The Southport & District Amateur Radio Club's web-site can be found at www.southportarc.org.uk.  A report of the event will be posted here within the next week and it is intended to publish a logbook of all stations contacted too.

Thanks for reading this and we looking forward to communicating with you.
