    Mr. Lawrence "Larry" G. Chesebro
    November 9, 1954 - November 15, 2017

    Mr. Lawrence G. "Larry" Chesebro, 63, of Sprakers, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.

    He was born on November 9, 1954 in Albany, New York, the son of Gordon B. and Geraldine (Westervelt) Chesebro. He was a long term area resident of Charleston, NY and was a graduate of Guilderland High School, class of 1972.

    Larry was a carpenter by trade and was the owner and operator of Chesebro & Son Contractors. For a time he also worked for Bill Lake Modular Homes in Sprakers, NY.

    He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

    He had a passion for Amateur HAM Radio operations, under the call sign "KC2BFS". He enjoyed the many friends he made while on the HAM radio.

    He married Tammy (Stevens) Chesebro on March 31, 1995.

    In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his mother, Geraldine (Westervelt) Chesebro of Guilderland, NY; three children, Stanley A. "Stan" Chesebro and his wife Lyndsai of Fultonville, NY, Erin Richardson and her husband Patrick of Bow, NH and Tasha Shephard and her husband John IV of Fultonville, NY; a brother, Ed Chesebro of Guilderland, NY and sister, Jackie (Dave) Zimmer of Esperance, NY; six cherished grandchildren, Ronald and Brittany Dwyer, Tamara, Reba and Tyler Chesebro and Callum Richardson. Mother- in-law, Edith H. "Nanny" Stevens and a nephew Yancy Zimmer.
    Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

    He was predeceased by his father, Gordon B. Chesebro, his father-in-law, Ronald R. Stevens and his Mother's companion of many years Leonard Barry.

    The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Christian Church of Rural Grove, 170 Rural Grove Rd, Sprakers, NY 12166,
    followed by a service at 6:30 PM at the church with Pastor Joshua Fetterhoff presiding.

    A reception will continue after the service concludes at the church.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church of Rural Grove (170 Rural Grove Rd, Sprakers, NY 12166) or to the Rural Grove Fire Department (1192 State Hwy 162, Sprakers, NY 12166).

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY 12072.
