Wood, KA1PY SK Robert Butler Wood SEPTEMBER 7, 1925 – MAY 15, 2018 Robert Butler Wood, 92 West Barnstable - Robert died peacefully at his home in West Barnstable on May 15th 2018 surrounded by his loving family and faithful caregivers. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, September 7, 1925. He married Nancy Bruce Wood in 1958. Robert was a high school Physics/Science teacher. Early in his career he taught at Wareham High School. Later in his career he taught at Bourne High School. Robert was an avid amateur photographer. He loved spending time in his home darkroom developing pictures. Being a HAM radio operator was another passion of Robert's. Robert and Nancy had two children. Daniel Justin Wood and Amy Linda Wood. Robert is survived by his wife of sixty years, Nancy (Bruce) Wood and his son, Daniel Justin Wood, and his wife, Judith Wood and four grandchildren, Todd Wood, Justin Wood, Cameron Wood, and Robert Wood. Robert will be buried next to his daughter, Amy Linda Wood, at Crocker Park Cemetery in West Barnstable. Burial will be private. There will be a celebration of Robert's life planned for a later date.
