    Bath, N.H. — Robert L. Harris, 79, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. He was born Sept. 24, 1938 in Lynn, Mass. the son of Charles W. and Helen (Preston) Harris.

    He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1956 and went on to study at A.B. Eastern Nazarene College receiving his degree in 1960. Robert later received his master’s degree from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1970.

    Robert first worked as a chemist at Freeman Chemical Corporation and then as an engineer at Barnes Engineering Company. Later he was employed as a Product Development Engineer at Stauffer Hoechst Polymer Corporation. Most recently he was self employed at his business Micro Programs Inc.

    He was a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, American Chemical Society and the American Association for Advancement of Science and the Twin State Radio Club. He was also a faithful member of the Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Barre, Vt.

    Robert raised, trained and exhibited pure-bred dogs in the American Kennel Club and the Canadian Kennel Club shows. He served as an Obedience Judge for the American Kennel Club and was a Training Instructor for the Suffolk Obedience Training Club in Huntington, N.Y.

    He is survived by his dear friend, Kathleen Galotti of Huntington, N.Y.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Barre, Vt. with the Pastor Carl Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Bath Village Cemetery.
