Patrick “Patsy” DiGiacinto, 79 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Pat was the grandfather of my best friend Mac KD8RMJ, and inspired both of us to get our licenses and learn code. He was first licensed in 1986. Other than occasionally operating SSB with local hams on 80m, he only worked CW and could be found checking into the Sunrise Net on 7.123 most mornings. He was a member of the Steubenville-Weirton Amateur Radio Club, based in Weirton, WV, a member of the SKCC #10194, NAQCC #6914 and FISTS #1927.
