MORGAN, James George. RNZAF 4215698 1942 - 1946. Amateur Radio Ham ZL1AJM. Passed away peacefully on 27th June, 2022 at Kaikohe Aged Care Centre, Kaikohe. Aged 98 years.

Loved Son of Louisa Taylor and George Morgan (Deceased). Husband of Clare, nee Henderson (Deceased). Respected Step Father of Penelope, Philippa, and Paul.
Special Thank You to all the people who donated funds towards the death of his beloved dog Sandy and to all the many carers, doctors, and staff who cared for Jim over the past 10 - 15 years.

Born 1924 at Takaka,South Island. Lived at Hamilton 1925--1941. Moved to Auckland 1941,and joined RNZAF 1942. Trained as w/op and d/f op,based at Waipapakauri until june 1946. Various jobs until travelled to UK in1962,then worked as technician in w/t section of HMNZ Naval Dockyard. Retired at end of 1980 Lived at Rothesay Bay ,North Shore,Auckland and moved to Tapu Point,Okiato,near Russell in the Bay of Islands. Moved Nov,(th) to Rye Soutth of Melbourne Australia and returned to NZ March. 1994,back to Okiato. Been in Kaikohe since Dec. 1996. Was a member of RNARS,until in moving around,lost contact with the society. XYL,CLARE,HAILS FROM bLACKHEATH S.E. London. Worked behind the free French in M.I.6,being an Air aid warden when off duty.
Came to ZL in 1958 Two daughters in Qsld VK,and son Chief Engineer on a ship. Our local family are Sandy our Foxie cross who runs the place,and Krissie the cat who controls him.Was d/f op at Waipap. ZLU and wonder if other old d/f ops were hams
