Just a reminder that the ILLW is on again this year on the 3rd full weekend in August, as usual, the 15th-16th August. We already have nearly 100 entrants listed at http://illw.net so if you haven't done so already, now is the time to start organising a lighthouse to activate and a group to help you do it.

The Ayr Amateur Radio Group, Scotland is the sole organizer and sponsor for the event which is now in its eleventh year. The popularity of the event is that it is NOT a contest, just a fun weekend to give lighthouses and amateur radio some well deserved publicity.

So come and join us. The event guidelines and online entry form as well as a list of entrants are on the web site. See you there.

Looking forward to the coming event. W7WLL will be operating from Cleft of the Rock LH south of Yachats OR. This is a unique LH in that it is privately owned and privately built but recognized as an official aid to navigation on all official nautical charts for mariners. Will be using SSB and CW on all bands, 80 through 10 and possibly 6. Looking forward to adding you to the log.
