    H. Arthur Brown, Jr. a resident of Fallston, MD, died at the age of 84 on June 9, 2016 at Elkton Transitional Care Center in Elkton, MD. He was born October 2, 1931 in Lebanon, PA to Harry Arthur Brown, Sr. and June Geraldine (Baver) Brown. After graduating high school, Mr. Brown enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge he returned to Lebanon and attended Lebanon Valley College. After graduation, he worked as a Chemical Engineer for the Aberdeen Proving Ground/Edgewood Arsenal until his retirement. He was an amateur radio operator since 1956 and had many friends in the radio community. He had 2 call signs, W3KHZ in the United States and VY2KHZ in Canada. He became a member of the Lions Club of Bel Air in 1961 and held many positions including past president. During his many years with the Lions he was involved with the Bel Air Fourth of July activities, amateur theater, and the yearly sales of citrus fruit & Christmas trees in the Bel Air Plaza. He enjoyed skiing in his younger years and traveled to many places to do so. He also loved to camp and spent many vacations in Deland, FL and Prince Edward Island, Canada. He and his wife Mary purchased land on P.E.I. and upon their retirement built a summer cabin where they spent many happy summers with friends & family. He also enjoyed a trip to England, Scotland and Wales with his family while tracing his & his wife's heritage. In his later years he enjoyed playing solitaire & mahjong on his computer. He also loved buying new gadgets for himself & his granddaughter.

    He is survived by his daughter Heather Elaine Brown of Port Deposit; and granddaughter Jessica Lynn Twigg. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Mary Campbell Brown in 2007.
