The RT2 is a dPMR, not DMR radio. They are different digital protocols. You can certainly use it simplex with other dPMR radios.
RT3 ia a great radio (like the TYT MD-380) but if you put inside the fw MF380TOOLs is a AMAZING radio ! see my post here in the forum. Infortunatelly this MD380TOOLs is put inside only a distro of linux (not with windows) i creata e simply GUIDE step-by-step to put this in a very simply mode with a normal usb key memory NOT installed none in your computer ! best 73 de IW2BSF - Rudy
