In this week's video I am reviewing My LoTW. My LoTW is a free mobile app for iOS™ and Android™ phones or tablets and it is a viewer app for ARRL's Logbook of The World. With My LoTW you can have your whole logbook in your pocket, check for confirmations and even get a QSL image of your confirmed QSOs. Check it out and let me know if you like it, or if you would like something done differently. Just downloaded the iOS app and thus far really like the app. I will continue to explore its features and comment as appropriate. Was surprised it downloaded 12K plus QSOs in a matter of about 1.5 minutes. Still learning the app and the video was a great tutorial for getting started using it. Thanks!
Good Job !! This is a good thing, but This is the first I've heard of this App... Hope the ARRL helps promote it !
That is most likely because ARRL is not involved in the development of this app. I am not affiliated with ARRL in any way, other than being a simple user of LoTW. I just created it because I wanted to be able to view my logs on my device in a more friendly way than just using the website. Thanks, 73!
Great app!!! The layout is very intuitive and I was up and running quickly. I have one request, a way to show combined statistics for multiple callsigns. I recently changed callsigns and I was able to add both calls but my DXCC totals are the old call + new call. It would be nice to have a "Totals" item in the Statistics Settings and add the callsigns that are included in ARRL awards. The "Totals" tab could show up next to my other callsigns. A QTH statistics tab might be useful as well for location-based awards.
Great app and video, thanks for creating them! I appreciate the fact that I can download info by using the 'cellular data' feature on my iPhone; this will be a boon should my laptop, PC and iPhone ever lose DSL/WIFi internet connectivity.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, you are right on calculating totals for all the call signs. It is a requested feature and I wil certainly implement it in a future version. 73!
I downloaded the App the other day, it is nice to have my QSO/QSL information at my fingertips without having to go through ARRL website. Do you also write MacOS software/apps? My computer is a MacBook Pro and it would be nice to have something to log and confirm US Counties. Thank you for the impressive and useful app. Ric AF7VT
Yes I do write Mac OS software. A version for desktop is something I am planning on creating in the future. Thanks for your valuable feedback, 73!
