http://www.livefromthehamshack.tv/2016/12/06/episode-70-rfinder-android-dmr-radio-review/ ----------------------------------------- Let's take a look at the H1B Android DMR Radio from RFinder, and do some on-air testing. I've been using this device as my own Smartphone for about 2 months now. He is my opinion and demonstration on how it works.
A bit rich for my blood. I'll stick with my $150 Android Samsung and my lil' $30 Baofeng. Both of them together won't weigh one third of what that monster tips the scales at...
Neither of those will do DMR, but I do see what you are saying. However, a *new* Android, without contract, will run you $400-$600, so if you are comparing apples to apples, the price isn't that bad.
It is a little pricey but if you look to buy a DMR device and a phone, then the price is not bad. I would like to know more specs on the phone to see if it is worth buying a 2 in one device.
It looks awesome. If it supported 4g I would seriously consider grabbing one. Great video BTW. I was thinking it was going to loose my interest but it never did.
My Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime was $150 brand new, and it does everything I could ever want. And that was without a contract!
