How's this for a Special Event adventure? The Fox Cities Amateur Radio Club (FCARC) will be operating mobile while in the parade! This is in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Saturday, June 8, 2019 Callsign: W9ZL 2om SSB around 14.246 MHz Approximately 18:30 UTC - 20:30 UTC It's only about two hours, so could be challenging for you to catch them mobile. This is a large event to honor the flag and a branch of military. It is also an excellent opportunity for us to promote ham radio and club membership. We will operate two special event stations on Saturday June 8th 2019 beginning at 1:30 pm (local) and operating until the end of the parade at approximately 3:30 pm. We hope you will work W9ZL on one or both bands. There will be a 20m SSB station operating around 14.246 MHz. At the same time there will be a 2m FM station operating on the club's 145.330 MHz repeater in analog mode, with PL tone 100.0. Hope to hear you on the air.
