Dale Upchurch / W4SRX SK 19 May 2006

With deep sympathy I have to pass along a note of saddness. Dale Upchurch, W4SRX, Silver Point, TN, became a silent key on Friday May 19, 2006. He leaves behind a wife, daughter and both parents.

Dale's untimely passing was a result of complications from the cancer he has been battling for some time now.

Dale held an advanced class license and enjoyed the hobby. He was a charter member of the Upper Cumberland Amateur Radio Association; and, he played a large role in the Silver Point Tailgate Party (sometimes called the Cookeville or Putnam County Hamfest).

Dale  was active during almost all local ham events and was the owner of the 145.27 repeater located in Monterey, TN. He will be missed.
