I can't say much about the project cancellation other than Steve, K4YZ and Chuck, WB4HXG are correct.

Sounds like it all falls of the back of that Chinese company that sold jammers for cell phone transmissions and is being fined per product line, of which they had circa 140 product lines, the figures being quoted for the fines were huge.

It's a sad state of affairs where innovation is squashed through paranoia about miss-use. It's like trying to prosecute Ford because an unlicensed drunk driver buys a car and kills somebody.
