    Why 'Chinese' stocking fillers?

    Why not 'stocking fillers'?

Thanks for your feedback guys. 'Chinese' stocking fillers because that's what ED has been purchasing. I'm sure there is good kit in other countries.

Why not tell us about your purchases.

One would be silly not to recognize that high value ham gear comes from China, but not exclusively. That's my point.

My stocking stuffer--which came early-- is an Elecraft KX2.

    And a Smurf SWR Meter.

    Very happy with both.

Sorry I refuse to buy anything from China. I'd rather save up for something than buy some cheap junk that puts good vendors out of business.

Clearly, not too many people listen to the podcast. Ed, DD5LP, was talking about cheap Chinese gadgets he bought to play with. A smart watch, and a few other odds and ends.

It's all good. There are some fun kits and things that can be purchased very inexpensively, and usually free shipping too. I enjoy listening to the podcasts too.

What's sickening is that some citizens of the United States believe that only their fellow citizens should have the opportunity to work and engage in commerce.

What is even more "sickening" is calling other American's "Sickening" for choosing to restrict purchasing for economic purposes. Is there something illegal about this? Morally wrong? Politically incorrect even? Or just the fact that he actually dared to say it on the net? Oh, that would be "politically incorrect". This is an opinion and personal choice. There is nothing wrong with saying so and saying so in public. It's the fact that this somehow offended you and you chose to "shame" him for it. That offends me.

    Thanks,

    Ed
