That was pretty darn cool. I’ve had a chance to visit that ship while on a layover and it was quite amazing. I had no idea that there was a ham club on board.
HI WALT, THANKS A MILLION FOR POSTING THE WONDERFUL VIDEO......BRAVO...... I BECAME AN "ASSOCIATE" MEMBER OF N4WIS BACK IN JAN OF 2002. MY GUD CW PAL - K4IX - BUS BROUGHT ME INTO N4WIS. SADLY, BUS IS NOW A SILENT KEY. BUS WAS ONE IN A MILLION. 73 ES MY REGARDS TO ALL THE TROOPS AT N4WIS. K1LKP CARMEN
I did once for MSW back in maybe 2008 when I was still on active duty and knew a few guys in the N4WIS club. I was a new general class and I got behind the mic for just a short bit and then let a more experienced op take over. I went home and fired up my station and worked them. I was K4KLB back then.
I worked N4WIS on 10M SSB back in 2012 (with 5 Watts from Phoenix). Thanks for giving me a look around the ship & shack!
