I missed the "obvious" errors? This is written in standard FCC legalize and was probably written by lawyers/engineers.

My prediction, the world will not come to an end and the sky will not fall!

The new rules become effective upon the publication of the next Federal register. Don't ask me for a date but probably within the next 30 days, I'm now retired so you will have to look up the publication date yourself!

Comment in the NPR basically says...either send it to the shop and get reprogrammed or you are short a channel. Guess I would go for getting mine reprogrammed as I could get the 100 Watts output for 60M Doug

My favorite typo: a pal's Ph.D. thesis, showing the value of a new method. The keyline of the thesis is--" We can see that CXRDGILU is NOW possible."

But it was published as:" We can see thatCXRDGILU is NOT possible."

    Ouch:)!

I beat you to it! I let my membership expire after 29 years a couple years back. I got tired of being ignored by the? Yet I get "Please Join" letters about every 60 days.

Amateur radio allocation is on a secondary, non-interference basis. Does anyone know who has the PRIMARY allocation?

No. Publication has to be in the Federal Register. That may take a couple of weeks to a month. Then 30 days from that date, so maybe 6 to 8 weeks from now, or so.
