I was calling on 40 this morning when a PD station called in using an barbed wire fence as an antenna, brilliant!

Still war is not real conductive but it is coated with a zinc galvanization and has a wide conductive service unfortunately 4 to 5 ft is too low for most TX antennas. However works great for Beverage receive antennas.... ..

I connected my kx2 to the parking barriers around Reddish Knob in VA, tuned up on 15m, and made a contact.

I need to do more stunt "will it antenna?".

It's amazing what can work. My very first JT65 contact was ZL to Kamchatka on 40m.
I was using a push-up pole and I was unaware that it had collapsed. My 40m dipole was lying on the ground.
    Power was about 20w.

I get a kick out of
"contact made via barbed wire fence antenna"

    I'd love to see contacts with/using -
    A tree antenna
clothesline antenna - bonus points if circular
buried antenna - or at least lying on ground
no antenna (long coax length) (I've done this with a KWM-2A!)

Bound to be lots of fun - earn those clicks!
