Amateur Radio military Appreciation Day or ARMAD will be held on may 23, 2009. We encourage all Amateur Radio Clubs, and operators to get on the air and show thanks, support, and Appreciation to our Troops, Military Retired, and Veterans. This can be done at a location of your choice, and at a time of your choice. This is an excellent way to promote Amateur Radio. More information can be found at the ARMAD we page.

Set up a special event and call CQ or run a net on the frequency of your choosing. We will use Echolink, IRLP, Packet, APRS, and HF.

:- )Greetings America: From Tom KD7ZOS! After reading this article, I think someone from every state in this Great Republic, should jump on this NATIONWIDE, to say Thanks for our Blessings, and to our American Soldiers, Sailors, Air Men and Women, Coast Guard; Reservests and National Guard Members, who Stepped Up saying "I'll Go Sir" during the Trying Times, to Protect and Serve our great country. The Hell our troops have endured, in foreign lands, to keep the Horror, Terror and Death in battle... there, wherever it may occur...instead of in our own backyards, on American Soil, is almost beyond words.

It has been said that there are no more hero's in todays world. Don't you believe it for a second. While you climb into your clean bed, somewhere in many places on this earth, a American GI is watching your back, guarding our way of life, with his or her own, if necessary to protect what blessings we have, in this great country, that the world wishes they could have too.

Let's put some pressure on the ARRL, to request their help, resources and assistance, since they are the "SpokesPerson for Amateur Radio in this Country" , to make this a successful national day of Gratitude for our American Troops, wherever they may be. May God Watch over them and Bring'em Home Lord, Soon and Safe!

With Eternal Gratitude, Thank You GI's Tom KD7ZOS
