Defensive Heritage Weekend April 20 and 21, 2024

After the success of the national Cold War Heritage event - 60 years of the Cuban Missile Crisis
''The Cold War Weekend'', the Cold War Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Liniebreed Ondernemen
foundation have restarted the collaboration. With this event, the Cold War Cultural Heritage Foundation
is joining the Defense Heritage Weekend, an initiative of the Liniebreed Ondernemen Foundation.
On April 20 and 21, 2024, air raid shelters, air watchtowers, forts, bunkers, fortresses,
lines and more defense heritage will be opened to the public.

The theme is 75 years of NAVO/NATO. This was on the occasion of the 75th anniversary (04-04-1949)
of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization)/NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
The goal is to pay more attention to the Cold War. Opening up Military and Civilian locations
should provide a clearer picture of what measures were taken during the Cold War.
