    In Memory of Charles Hardy
    November 11, 1964 - June 14, 2015
    Charles Lee “Charlie” Hardy Jr., 50, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill.
    Born on November 11, 1964 at Montgomery, he was the son of the late Charles Lee Sr. and Barbara Hypes Hardy.
    Charlie served his country in the US Army and the WV Army National Guard. He was an amateur radio operator since 2008, ARRL WV Section Manager Charles Hardy, WV8CH since October 2013, WV Section Traffic Manager & NTS 8th Region Net Manager since 2012, ARRL Official Observer since 2009, District Emergency Coordinator for District 7, and ARRL Volunteer Examinator. In Fayette County he was president of Plateau Amateur Radio Association and Summit Repeater Association, Fayette County REACT Team #2599, American Red Cross-WV Region, Fayette County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Fayette County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency, and Fayette County Amateur Radio Emergency Services.
    Left to cherish many wonderful memories include his wife of 31 years, Jane Wendell Hardy; mother-in-law, Gladys Wise; sister, Kathy Miller; and three brothers, Robert Hardy, Gary Hardy, and Chuck Hardy; and step-mother, Dawn Shuler.
    Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Rev. Billy Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
    The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 PM on Tuesday at the church.
    Memorials may be made in his memory to any of the organizations that Charlie had been affiliated with.
