The Lower Rio Grande Valley is a great place to be a ham. The climate, geography and economy are all ideal for ham radio operators, as evidenced by the diverse community of amateurs who have come here to visit every year, many deciding to stay year-round after becoming aquainted with the area and its people.

I live in Willacy county, by the way, just south of Raymondville.

My YL's parents stay the winters there. I'll be sure to bring whatever rig I have when I visit in November. I'll likely be around Mission.

I'm on the local repeater net every night at 7:00pm. 147.39+  114.8 tone.

Jump in and say howdy when you get a chance! - I won't be the only one who will be glad to hear from you, it's a friendly bunch down here.
