This video takes us from Gig Harbor to Hoquiam, WA for a practice instrument approach from the Hoquiam VOR (VOR RWY 06). The approach begins from out over the Pacific Ocean and concludes with a touch-and-go landing at Hoquiam Bowerman Field.

The video begins with an overview of the instrument procedure followed by the actual flight recorded on a 4K wing-mounted camera and a 1080P POV camera.

2 meter FM ham radio contacts were made on the national call frequency (146.520) while on the flight.

I made that approach one night during my instrument training. I remember my instructor was getting pretty nervous because we were pretty far offshore at the beginning. But of course I was under the hood and blissfully unaware.
