NB6GC USS Hornet "Splashdown 50" Apollo 11 Anniversary Special Event

HARC, The USS Hornet Amateur Radio Club NB6GC will be on the air this month celebrating the 50th anniversary of the recovery of the Apollo 11 Astronauts by the USS Hornet on July 24, 1969. We will be providing a special QSL card to all stations that work us during the month of July. We will be specifically on the air during July 20 and 21 when the USS Hornet museum is celebrating and we will also be on the air on July 24th the actual date of the recovery as well. We will probably be on the air other dates during the month but these dates are not yet known as we will open up for visitors who request a tour of the radio room and wish to operate so listen for us and work us and help us commemorate this historic event!
