Michael J Schmid, WX3EMT SK Schmid, Michael Joseph - March 13, 2024 Age 54 of Grand Island entered Eternal Life March 13th after a brief illness. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Heather (nee Domanski), his step-son Alex, his sister Joann (Jeff) two nephews, Logan and Drake and his mother Marie. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and innumerable friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph. He lived to serve his community through Civil Air Patrol and his contribution to the lives of so many will be missed. He mentored, taught, learned and pushed forward both his knowledge and that of those around him. Calling hours will be at Kaiser Funeral Home on Grand Island Saturday, March 16th 4pm – 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish at 10 AM on Saturday March 23rd followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
