Our friend Jerry Hooper passed away peacefully in North Idaho.he was a longtime friend to many and he held an extra class ticket as Ka7rnx. He served in the US Army during Ww2.Jerry was a interesting guy to say the least.a true American Hero.he is missed by all who knew him.
^Wrong Gerald Hooper. The Gerald "Jerry" Hooper (KA7RNX) mentioned by the original poster was survived by my wife, Micki (KD7WIX) and her brother, Rob (N7XLS), among other children. Jerry wasn't a WW2 vet, but he was a Washington Army National Guard veteran of the early 60's. He loved amateur radio and influenced myself, my wife and her brother to become hams. He was a big presence in KARS (Kootenai Amateur Radio Society) in the panhandle of Idaho and had been a repeated past president.
My Condolences. I am unable to find an obituary or Funeral Home announcement. I changed KA7RNX qsl info to Reported Silent Key.
