There is nothing more frustrating than to be doing search and pounce and hear "CQ contest, CQ contest, QRZed?" We want to quickly work as many stations as we can, just like the stations that are running a frequency want to work the most stations in the least amount of time. You waste both our time and yours when you don't give your callsign and say "QRZed". Give your callsign instead of "QRZed" and we will know if we have worked you before or if you are a new station for us. This prevents your time from being wasted by being asked "what's your call?". It also prevents you from losing a contact because the S&P operator didn't want to waste his time by waiting for several calling cycles before you to decide to give your callsign.

World Radiosport Team Championship is the Olympics-equivalent of contesting. The next one is in England in 2026 and previous WRTCs have been held in I, DL, W1, UA3, PY, OH, S5, W6, and W7.

Same here, SOHP, 1200 watts and a tribander at 15 feet, also S&P on 10. Highest station was on 29.072 - almost 800 kHz full of contesters, and still some stations were only 1 kHz apart. EU in the morning, SA in the afternoon, and JA/VK/BY until 8 or 9. Almost the perfect single-band contest.

Missed checking the FM segment on 10m. My FT-710 shows a waterfall display only up to 29.000, though I can tune above that by typing in the frequency. Not sure whether I am missing any setting. Never heard anything there so far. May be I missed an opportunity during CQ WW. But, were the stations you mentioned should have been on SSB. 73

Everything in life can be made into a competition (or into a bet, with odds). :)

it was my first time participating in this contest. Just curious how long it takes for the logs to be evaluated and awards determined.

The "raw scores" are already up - https://cqww.com/raw.htm?mode=ph

Of course they will nearly all slip a bit with logchecking because of busted calls and so on but I am happy with where I am starting out in the standings.
