Great project Jim, thanks for sharing it with us. My only comment is why not add a display to show frequency ? A VFO project by Julio Cesar using the same parts as you has a small color LCD display. I built his circuit and it works well. Display would require SCK, SDA, +5v and ground connections and a few extra lines of code. https://create.arduino.cc/projecthu...o-rf-generator-with-si5351-and-arduino-3a7cad
Hi, Kevin Loughin is the content maker his YouTube channel is fantastic. Thank you for posting this link it looks really educational and a great learning experience.
Agreed. A nice, concise couple of paragraphs is much more likely to be read by someone unfamiliar with the project than watching a 30 minute video.
Neat project. I’d substitute the parts on your low pass filter with SMD and consider using an optocoupler rather than a mechanical relay—it’s QRPp. You may want to turn to the schematics of HackRF for further inspiration. 73
I would pursue Analog Devices MAX4567 or something similar. Regardless of which direction you take this project, you're brilliant. You've really given meaning to software defined radio.
Agreed 100% on a summary with words. I'm not so much into videos, and had MUCH rather read an article, or at least a short summary.
