Although the focus on Cliff has been his years serving in the war and his later years in South Carolina, there has been little said about the 40-50 years he resided here in Greeneville TN and his contributions to the amateur community in this area. Cliff was instrumental with putting up the first 2 meter repeater in Greene County TN back in the 70's. He built the duplexer from plans that I think were featured in QST. He was the repeater trustee and had the repeater callsign on one of his cars. WR4AHP. I have a vivid memory of going up on the mountain and watching him work on the repeater on a summer day when I was in my late teens.
I am an omiss member and recorded this nice tribute to W4KKP...I was trembling and brought to tears and accidently hit the footswitch Nice last call tribute by Mr Homer ND8F
Im saddened. I hope he rests well. He will be remembered. We honor those who fought for our freedom. Rest in peace.
