    k5nic writes "The FCC has issued a communications State of Emergency for the flooded areas of Texas and Louisiana. Amateurs must refrain from using 7285 during the day and 3873 at night, unless directly involved in handling emergency communication traffic. This was issued by the FCC on 10 June 2001. The order is effective until further notice from the FCC."
