I mainly took snapshots of vintage and military gear in the flea market because that's what interests me. http://www.virhistory.com/ham/dayton-17-1.htm The new venue looked pretty good for the indoors crowd, but mud wasn't so great for the flea market. But there was plenty of interesting gear for sale. Also plenty of interesting folks to chat with. Nick K4NYW
THANKS Sincerely for those great photos!!! NOW I am in TEARS I Didn't go!!! I see one item I have coveted for DECADES!!! Much rarer than the LONGED-FOR SX-88 is the National NC-400!!! Bet that brought in a big amount of dough!!! And I would have spent every cent I brought on that!!!!!! I NEED that NC-400 for the museum. It is about the ONLY National radio I DON'T HAVE!!!!!!
Thanks for the pics! I haven't been in 10 years, but based in initial reports I might try to go next year, sounds like a much better venue, although mud seems to be an issue... But anything would be better than Hara!
As with Way too much schtuff at any Hamfest there was no marked price. As for me, if it was Free I would not have taken it. Too heavy, and I did not bring a cart with me when wandering the Flea Market. If you have the spot number you can look up the person.
The fellow was asking $750 for the NC-400. That was Friday morning, IIRC. I don't know whether it sold or not. Nick K4NYW
