    Hi folks.

I know this is pretty obvious but from the point of view of a W/VW newcomer to DX and the CQ DX contest, I was a little confused at first re: scoring. From ARRL International DX Contest Rules:

Scoring: Each contact counts for three (3) QSO points. W/VE stations multiply total QSO points by the number of DXCC entities contacted. ....

e.g. 10 QSO's to Japan, 5 to Mexico, is 45 QSO points x 2 DXCC entities for 90 points total.

If I'm wrong, I hope someone corrects me!

    Neil.

That sounds correct... but you don't have to calculate your own score. When you submit your contest log in Cabrillo to the ARRL here: https://contest-log-submission.arrl.org/

It will automatically calculate your score for you.

Thanks KI4MYD. I found that submission page.

For other newbs like me, though this page might now work for complete log submission process, if you enter pertinent data here:

    http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/arrldxssb_cab3.php

you will at least end up with Cabrillo file you can copy, past, and submit via page KI4MYD linked.

I did this and got an email back with raw score that is close to what I claimed.

I transferred frantically written data from paper logs to computer text then edits and edits so we'll see how that pans out. LOL.

    Neil.
