After a brief bout with cancer, Joseph (Joe) Kamely Sr. K9JO (ex KA9BZU) passed away quietly in the hospital on February 26 2024 at the age of 84. Joe was a Veteran having served on the USS Worcester (CL-144) after which he worked as a machinist at Argonne National Lab, Lamont, Ill. until his retirement. He leaves a wife, two children, five grandchildren, son in law. grand son in law, and many, many friends behind. He was my best friend for over 40 years both on and off the radio.
